Every trip to Munich should start at the famous Hofbrauhaus. We had a great lunch of crispy pig knuckle, potato dumplings, and of course, many steins of beer.

First Stop Munich
The flight over was smooth and uneventful. Nobody slept (except for your humble author) on the 8 hour flight. Dr. D'Amico did get pressed into service halfway through the flight to attend to a medical for a passenger. Unfortunately, not much he could do for a bad case of constipation at 32,000 feet.
Our first order of business was Prime and morning Mass at the Society of St Pius X in Munich.
The prior chapel had an exquisite gold leaf altar and an elegant sanctuary area.
Myself, Fr. Voigt, and Dr. D'Amico pray the Prayers at the Foot of the Altar.
Afterwards, Fr.Voigt posed for a picture with our gracious host, Fr. Udressy.

Made it to the airport .. so far, it looks like German airspace is open
Waiting to board for Munich - Fr. Richard Voigt, Shari Ferrelli, Vinny Ferrelli, Dr. Tony D'Amico, Betty D'Amico. The flight we are going on has not operated for a week.
Dave took a few minutes away from his job as a busy air traffic controller to have a few beers with us. Finally, we got the OK to board and we were off!

Novena Intentions
| If you would like us to remember a special intention or remember someone (living or deceased) as Fr. Voigt offers Mass in each location, please add those requests in the comment section. I will make sure that the list of intentions is on the altar at each Mass celebrated over the next couple of weeks. |
Satan not happy
Well, our trip to visit the Sacred First Class relic of Our Savior, as well as a pilgrimage to various cathedrals and the Eternal City certainly angered at least one supernatural being. It is hard to mistake his diabolic signature of fire and ash. Albeit, he owns this domain and holds sway here. But we have the greater power on our side in our attempts to make the reign of Christ's Kingdom manifest on earth. So even if these impressive pyrotechnics throw us off schedule, we will figure out how to make it all work! Viva Cristo Rey! |
